This is another Patrick Handsome feature, shot in Europe with European stars, and Handsome’s sensibility. He is a dark and brooding man, and, as is shown in the interview accompanying this movie, he also likes shooting sex that is way off of center. It’s a shame that there are no credits for this movie, since the actors and actresses are very good, and there is a lot of texture to the scenes. The promo says “When a gorgeous female journalist scores an interview with a reclusive horror novelist, she digs up more than she bargained for. Traveling to the author’s secluded mansion, she discovers a world where the macabre and the erotic combine in surreal sensuality. The inquiring beauty finds herself sucked into the environment and gladly returns the favor.” Let’s see.
The movie opens on a nice, wintry day and a car drives down a tree-lined lane. The car pulls up to a strange, bizarre, odd, mansion that is studded with cupolas and gargoyles.
