Having failed to compete in the cutthroat world of nightlife, she sets her sights on Sunset’s newly acquired nightclub. She resorts to desperate measures to seize what she wants, beginning with a direct confrontation at Sunset's luxurious mansion. There, she tries to strong-arm Sunset into signing the club over to her, but Sunset is in no mood to be intimidated. Her spirit is unbroken and her determination to keep her inheritance intact won’t be deterred by Veronica’s schemes. When force doesn’t work, Veronica turns to higher powers. She aligns herself with the licensing board and employs underhanded tactics to have the nightclub shut down, temporarily stripping Sunset of its essence.
